So, a little bit worried right now. About an hour ago, as I was sitting down to start my cashout at work, I started noticing this big spot on the left side of my field of vision. The kind of edgeless, glowy-like thing that sort of makes everything hazy--like when you've been staring too long at a light source. When I complained about it, somebody said something about low blood-sugar and offered me OJ. Which, of course, I downed.
This didn't seem to help, as over the next few minutes the 'spot' got bigger and brighter, until I couldn't see usefully out my left eye at all. I took off to the bathroom to check my eyes in the mirror--as I stepped into the room I caught a 'glimpse' of my face that came across as Wrong. With a capital letter. My left eye looked way too big--I don't mean dilated, I mean the entire eye, socket et all, looked twice its normal size.
The moment I stepped closer it went away, and my eye looked normal--though I wanted, really badly, to vomit. (I didn't.)
I really can't get the feeling behind that moment across accurately. It's like watching a japanese horror movie--think "Pulse" or "The Ring"--and then suddenly realizing that you're on the wrong side of the screen, for just a split second.
My vision is getting back to normal, though both my eyes hurt right now. I'll be at the hospital if I don't feel better when I get up. Right now I just feel really, really sick.
